Awesome all the way around guys. Just one note: please use the correct thread seal tape/dope when piping any flammable gas such as propane. I noticed that some of the thread joints were sealed with the appropriate yellow gas-rated tape and the rest appeared to use the standard white teflon tape. While teflon and PTFE are awesome for their intended purposes they fall a little short for gas piping as the petroleum based propane could eventually eat through or gum up the tape enough to allow leaks to develop. No need to state the obvious but a gas leak next to a hot forge would be a bad day for all. There are several good options for tape, I recommend a combination of yellow thread seal tape coupled with a gas-rated pipe "dope" so as to maximize the seals and to make future disassembly easier. What do you think about the german federschwert as historical training weapon? Feder means spring in german and leafspring were used a lot in medival gadgets. I know iron can be springy, mostly if work hardend but how springy do you believe were federschwerter?

I have a few questions: first if crucible steel was not better why did every european country renounced using pattern welded garbage 600 years before the japanesse adopted it? Second if you know about how corosion works then answer this : which steel has more impurities and corosion, that in the form of sand ( japanesse garbage) or that in form of chunks resulted either from molten lava or meteorite? And third you mention the 3 Japanese regalia which is basically a hoax perpetuated by over 100 as most if not all have been lost already ( according to their own stories- the sword was 100% lost) but that sword was almost surely a bronze of iron ( not steel) straight sword imported from China that may have been used by a warlord that came from China and founded a country in Japan at some point to kill a big snake. How is this relevant to steel swords making since that is not made from steel?
